12:30 - 3:30
Free hands-on art activities for families. Families can visit three art stations at their leisure and use a variety of supplies to create their own works of art.
I love taking my kids to this event because the art supplies are exactly what a real artist would use! Clay, oils, pastels, cloth, sticks, hay, felt, etc...no Oriental Trading kits here.
Visit the NexGen booth and all children 17 and under children can sign up for a free LACMA Membership. The child will get a lanyard and membership card on the spot which serves as a ticket for the child and one adult to visit the museum anytime for free!
This event is outdoors. Dress comfortably, you will probably have to kneel or sit on the grass at some point. Wear a hat and use sunscreen. Try to get there early, they tend to run out of the more popular crafts in the last hour. Every month features a different theme, so try to visit at least once a month.
Parking in the underground lot is $10 or you can try your luck at finding parking in the street.

Wow. Thanks for the info. We're always looking for interesting, free (or cheap) things to do on the weekend.
